<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
Home delivery of food has become more and more popular in Norway.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
People seem to have lesser time on their hand,, places to go and people to meet and not everybody is very fond of planning their meals, but enjoy to eat good food.</div>
</div>
<br />
This week I have tied out food homedelivery <a href="http://www.adamsmatkasse.no/" target="_blank"><b>Adamsmatkasse</b></a>.<br />
Ingredients and recipes for 5 dinners, 1 tart pluss 4 kg fresh fruits.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
What you see in the top picture is basicly what was in the boxes and it is supposed to be enough for a family of four. Doesn't look much does it and I have to admitt that I was a little worried that it would not be enough for the four of us still living in my household.<br />
What does a family of four consist of?<br />
Two adults and two small children, 4 adults, one adult and thre young children or a family like mine with one adult, two hungry teens(18 and 15) and a little wee one.<br />
My fifteen year old who helped me carry the boxes in to the kitchen has passed 6'1" already, he snickered a little when he saw the amount of proteins<br />
<br />
But oh well, best to keep an open mind </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
During this week we had<br />
<b>Baked cod with romaesco and a cucumber- and dillsalad</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My initial worry about this not being enough food was needless, there was enough.<br />
MiniMe is a little bit oicky when it comes to vegetables, I tried to get her to try te romanesco and said "Look sweetie they look like mini christmastrees" where up on the little sweetie answered "I don't want to eat christmastrees" Jeez, mum needs to think about her analogies.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Baby romaine taco with corn, bellpeppers and beans.</b><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Nothing bad to say about this dish exept that we ran out of lettuce, ha ha ha and I was worried about not enough proteins. We ended up eating half of it without lettuce, I did not feel like running to the store in the middle of dinner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<b>Front Ribs with homemade ajvar sauce and lime scented couscous salad.</b><b> </b><br />
My "little" carnivores had been looking forward to this meal, but they missed bbq sauce. It was not because that the boys did not like the ajvar sauce, it was just different.<br />
The meal did fill us up, but sometimes the eye wants more then the tummy, the boys wondered if this was it and looking at MiniMes plate and hoping she did not want hers:)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I liked the variation of meals in this deliverybox and I feel it was healthy and nutitional as well.<br />
I would recomend subscribing for food deliveries like this if you do not have time to prepare and your priority is not grocery shopping or if you have hectic periods that take you to other places but your kitchen. Besides it is only five meals and no breakfast and no lunch, so you do have to actually go groceryshopping once in a while. Another solution is to eat out, invite yourself to someone or invite someone to you:)</div>

<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;">Casa Vinicola Zonin’s wine ambassador,
Lorenzo Zonin, hosted this venue where we were going to blind
test two of Casa Vinicola Zonins estates, Masseria Altemura from Puglia and Feudo Principi di Butera. With each course we got two different wines and we were supposed to guess from which area and which vintage the wines where from. Mr. Zonin guided us through the tasting, explaining the difference between the two wines. We looked at the color, we smelled the aromas and then tasted the wines.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;">For the first course we had <b>Masseria Altemura-Fiano Salento IGT 2013 </b>and</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;"><b>Principi di Butera-Insola Sicilia IGT 2013</b></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;">The Fiano is a high-quality white wine grape variety used in southern Italy specially in Campania, the shin of Italys boot . It is mainly used as a varietal wine, wines that are being labeled after the grape variety they are prodused from. Fiano Is nutty and textured with floral and honey notes, spice and tropical fruit flavores</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;">Like I had mentioned I had not tried any wine from these regions before and found it quite difficult since I did not have any refrence point to go by. </span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13.5pt;">First of all I do not drink much wine and Second pretty much the same as the first one :) and </span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 18px;">I must say that I think he tried to confuse us a little :) </span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 18px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 18px;">My way of telling if it is a good wine or not is if I can keep a straight face when drinking it and the more expencive, the straighter the face, he he he. Jokes a side, over the years I have gotten to know and taste different wines and have learnt that price and taste does not necessarily correlate with eachother. you can get inexpensive wines that taste grate and expensive wines that are less than average.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 18px;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="background: white; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: 18px;">I got the estates wrong and I got one vintage wrong. Some of the clues he gave us was that they were booth young, one more sophisticated than the other and one more fruity than the other</span></div>

<span style="font-size: medium;">The Sasseo Primitivo Salento IGT 2012 has also an intense red color with scents of tart cherries, violet and sweet spicy hints, a warm and persistent wine. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: medium;">Last course was Norwegian cheeses with nut bread and marmalade. The wines was <b>Principi di Butera-Symposio Sicilia IGT 2010</b> and <b>Masseria Altemura-Altemura Primitivo di Manduria DOC 2010</b></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">The first one was a dark red wine with ruby reflections with a nose of ripe dark berries, plums, cherries, orange peel and hits of and black tea. Nutty nuances with a seductive bouquet of cedar, cloves and mocha and on the palate it is elegant, balanced and harmonious with a lingering finish of dark and red berries.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">The latter was a deep ruby red wine with a nice nose and accents of roasted coffe and bread crust opening up to fragrances of nutmeg, eucalyptus and green pepper. It had a unusual full palate mixing spiced fruits with brandy and tobacco and a lingering aftertaste</span></div>

<span style="font-size: medium;">Surprize Wine- guess the estate and the vintage</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">This time we only got one glass so we could not compare it to anything but memory.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">This last wine reminded me of one of my old favorites a Cabernet Sauvignon, mid 1990s vintages from Napa Valley California and with what I have learnt by listening to Mr. Zonin and what I had previously tasted. I guest it to be from Sicily and from 2006. Why 2006? I guess because one of the clues was that it it was a little older than the previous vintages. I was wrong, it was a 2000 vintage and since it turned out to be a Cabernet Sauvignon, no wonder it reminded me of my old favorite :) I think I can enjoy this wine as well:)</span></div>

<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Principi di Butera-Sanrocco Cabernet Sauvignon 2000</b></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Intense garnet red with clean complex aromas of ripe dark red fruits and berries, pleasent notes of vanilla and spices. Harmonious and structured, the palate mirrors the berries and sweet spices with a lingering finish.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These cookies are ordinary chocolatechip cookies with added coconut flakes.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Ingrdients</b><br />
It is a fairly big batch, It makes about 6 trays with 9 cookies each.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq3harZyFR7UT4ZpkGvu0jE8-pLiJYkrGiqLpAE6sfMk4dRnpFzLpw21-V-GtMewaEGwYk7jJ3gxv3C8GEXx9pxtUDch2IT7NO3lEphKqOqxGI49mrgoPQXxtzWi3ANsyIGhubE8cgQkgg/s640/082.JPG" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Old picture just to illustrate</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
3 cups roomtemeratured regular salted butter</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cups granulated sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cups brown sugar<br />
3 large eggs<br />
2 tsp vanilla extract<br />
4 cups all purpose flour<br />
<div>
6 cups oatmel(blend after measuring)<br />
2 tsp baking soda</div>
<br />
When I make a big batch like this I usually devide it in three and make three different type og cookies. For each third of the batch I use 12 oz pack of semi-sweet chocolatechip morsels<br />
<br />
Start by mixing the butter and sugar to a creamy consistency</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuQ2nJcnFg156tkHFF3mSOscu-gyIdFFrJcZDFwMbO_f59ijlD2S6DvcqNhmq8V4y5GLycluOXoEUyE82z7TTDFJAIOAUBziJXNDEI7ngoVqk1iARdLvxTLZNz2mVnBeOB3n4VKK_t71zA/s1600/039.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuQ2nJcnFg156tkHFF3mSOscu-gyIdFFrJcZDFwMbO_f59ijlD2S6DvcqNhmq8V4y5GLycluOXoEUyE82z7TTDFJAIOAUBziJXNDEI7ngoVqk1iARdLvxTLZNz2mVnBeOB3n4VKK_t71zA/s640/039.JPG" height="494" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add in the eggs one by one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
add the vanilla extract</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGtl4R0pWYlofYGSHi-t9vMQEwlCXcD6AWHgWr9yg4rQldThATCOdgkXSfmjsxSvjkpLO6dU8iSdPKtyihXI5uhgWnjJJ3_db6kDk4by3mThlWzDymmzeKOLohhSwlzIlm6CgqSfwjPD49/s1600/045.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGtl4R0pWYlofYGSHi-t9vMQEwlCXcD6AWHgWr9yg4rQldThATCOdgkXSfmjsxSvjkpLO6dU8iSdPKtyihXI5uhgWnjJJ3_db6kDk4by3mThlWzDymmzeKOLohhSwlzIlm6CgqSfwjPD49/s640/045.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
At the end ad flor, oatmeal and bakingsoda, mix untill everything is incorporated, but do not overmix.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW8BJgEbwCA7VVYtGdNAngU_EK23j3jZKZHmskbZw_biLE5ckEAO2PInZZPrwXhrcWr7mYqkgBMbsVfP6Rxt4BOqbWdoVxqaxtLufwZRDnvo8tdSh5QJZ-kGd86qQ8myanETL_gPE01PZI/s1600/048.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW8BJgEbwCA7VVYtGdNAngU_EK23j3jZKZHmskbZw_biLE5ckEAO2PInZZPrwXhrcWr7mYqkgBMbsVfP6Rxt4BOqbWdoVxqaxtLufwZRDnvo8tdSh5QJZ-kGd86qQ8myanETL_gPE01PZI/s640/048.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As I mentioned earlier I add 12 oz of chocolate chips to a third of the batch and for the cookies on top I also added 1 cup of coconut flakes.<br />
<br />
Make your own mixes, different colored chocolate, nuts and berries, there are so many possibilities, your imagination is the limit.<br />
<br />
Place the dough in the fridge for aboout 30 minutes before you bake the it<br />
<br />
<br />
Devide your dough into 18 equal parts and place them on a lined baking tray and bake them in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes on 300 degrees Fahrenheit.<br />
When they are done, pull the bakingliner off the tray with the cookies on onto a cool tray.<br />
A long baking time on a lower heat and quick cooling of the cookies gives you cookies thar are crisp on the outside and chewie in the middle.<br />
<br />
Good luck and enjoy<br />

MiniMes birthday today, she turned 7.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She has been looking forward to this day, to have a small birthday party with her siblings and her parents. Everybody together to celebrate her day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Unfortunatly her mummy has been bussy sewing skirts and dresses for her, so I forgot to bake something for her birthdaybreakfast in bed.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The solution was to run over to the local cafe and buy a couple of pieces of cake before she woke up, they only had brownie and carrotcake.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well I made it and woke her up with a birthday song, her favorite cereal and the cake.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These pictures are really taken as soon as she woke up, she did not even have time to brush her hair.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But since we were going to have a small celebration, we baked a few things, MiniMe wanted chocolate cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Like many small children she wants to help out with the baking.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She is quite a little assistant in the kitchen, but unfortunatly she is just like her mum and makes a lot of mess. Between the two of us we can really bomb the kitchen :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finished baking and time to get dressed, she wanted to wear the dress I made for her, a silk dress with a tullskirt. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While I was making this dress I felt a little like Maria in Sound of Music. Remeber the scene where she sings My favorite things in her bedroom and hold the curtains that becomes the childrens playclothes?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This dress is made of some curtain scraps I had laying around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We decorated a little to make the party look nice and she did a few finishing touches on our cakes. The piñata is just for decoration today, we will use it later this week when she has her birthdayparty with all her friends.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In this picture I have tied a ribbon around her waist to give the dress a little extra, but I think it looks a little more chic without the ribbon and since I made the tulle skirt as a separate skirt she can wear it on top of the dress as well or without the tulle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is a little difficult explaining how i did this dress, I copied the the dress in the previous blogpost, but made it sleeveless. and for the tulle skirt I will post something soon:)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MiniMe has outgrown her favorite dress, a dress she got for her 5th brthday.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A Sonia Rykiel dress that we bought in Nice. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The dress has been to short a long time now and has been hanging in her closet, she takes it out once in a while, looks at it and sighed, she has really been wanting to use it again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She found the black tulle that I have had lying arround.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mini's dream for the time being is to become a fashion designer and she sews and staple clothes for her teddy bears and dolls. She suggested to sew on some tulle to extend the dress or sew a tulle skirt. She wondered if I could help her because she had never sewn on a sewing machine before, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sweet little one, of course I would help her.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We made a black tulle skirt with gray ribbon,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A nice petticoat she can use for parties and dress up and specially under her favorite dress. We made some other things too, I'll show them to you later.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Just as countless of little girls, MiniMe loves to wear her mummys shoes too.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMQw6-NFIkHJoZE5WHofyfKsahZUnOMmMOMAn0Z8j-oYoMM0kHgsxjGrh9AcpRA4mXbUXuYe7VaRAIEDUD70NYybjD3P9CYgRIWJjbbKl-4vgcgAjmA-5y5gLrtuGH_6Zkon6v0TmF4Io/s1600/2014-09-27+17.32.07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMQw6-NFIkHJoZE5WHofyfKsahZUnOMmMOMAn0Z8j-oYoMM0kHgsxjGrh9AcpRA4mXbUXuYe7VaRAIEDUD70NYybjD3P9CYgRIWJjbbKl-4vgcgAjmA-5y5gLrtuGH_6Zkon6v0TmF4Io/s1600/2014-09-27+17.32.07.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I seldom experience earlymornings during the week-ends. I like to sleep in and take it slow, lounge around in my underwear</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When I woke up today I was thinking Earlybird gets the worm or the norwegian version of it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
"Morgenstund har gull i munn" </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Directly translated this means morning hour have gold in mouth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This does not really make any sence other than it must be good to rise early.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I googled it and found some information on Wikipedia.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well the meaning is that earlybird getsthe worm or early risers has a bigger chanse to reach their goals.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The norwegian saying is from an old germanic version where the word <i>mund</i> was used and meant <i>hand</i>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The islandic version uses give rather than have and suddenly the saying makes more sense.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Morning hour gives gold in hand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Nice to know, rise early, shower, eat breakfast, get dressed and seize the day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The underwear I am using is from <b><a href="http://www.freyalingerie.com/" target="_blank">Freya lingerie</a>, </b>I am sort of a spokes person for the brand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is one of the better lables I have used.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Good quality underwear that fits beautifully and looks gorgious.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I agree, but sometimes it feels good to indulge oneself.it might not be good for your wallet, but good for ones soul. That said, one can discuss how often indulging yourself is proper.</div>

A couple of weeks ago I had to go to Copenhagen for work and picked up a little tin of caviar and with this in the fridge I had to make some blinis. It has been years since I made these buckwheat pancakes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I do not know how it is around the world or within the different areas of blogging.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But in Norway ther is a small group of girls who meet once in a while wheter they blog within interior, everyday life, food, fashion or beauty and makeup or a mix of the five I mentioned.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A couple of week-ends ago about 45 gals from all over Norway met up in a small place called Brevik by the Oslofjord. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A picturesque place with summer houses and cottages on little surrounding islands.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some of them have met before and som have not</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of the things I like with theese gatherings is that you meet the people behind the blogs and instagram accounts you follow and follow you. The other thing we always manage to have fun and we are exited to see eachother. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
NO RIVALRY.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am not saying that it does not exist in Norway the rivalry between bloggers, it is there and I have seen it develop over the years, Some see themselves as better bloggers or more popular.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
BUT these events are still fun filled and everybody talks to everybody and we all get along.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Someone told me once that bloging is the new way for us grown ups to get to know new people.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When we were youmger we knocked on eachothers doors to play but we do not do that anymore.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_tJzBicQakc0K8xpe6OcAWl9Qzb7-cpeNW4Bu9VLDZMjnxjZWPi8rQ-8wSsr9Md1vQXpXilQtw3xpzgb4cvml0kEPIWZZpStWzZMf-847AhJNjFDEqg-cW3KBOeU8Jd6K9In7RacKai8/s1600/20140913_192522.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_tJzBicQakc0K8xpe6OcAWl9Qzb7-cpeNW4Bu9VLDZMjnxjZWPi8rQ-8wSsr9Md1vQXpXilQtw3xpzgb4cvml0kEPIWZZpStWzZMf-847AhJNjFDEqg-cW3KBOeU8Jd6K9In7RacKai8/s1600/20140913_192522.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This little event was organized by the girls behind the blogs <a href="http://www.fabelaktive.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">Fabelaktig</a><b> </b>and<a href="http://www.festfabrikken.no/"> <b>Festfabrikken</b></a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Two entreprenureal gals who knows how to throw a meet and greet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When ever Ms. Fabelaktig throws one she always manages to put together fun and yummy filled goodiebags.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We got this little adorable Sonny Angel in the goodiebag, a little cheeky boy angle dressed only in headgear. He has become quite popular among women around the world, young and old.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
we also got cup cake liners and paper straws.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I try to live healthy but I am a sucker for sweets and snacks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Once in a while I see the light and make something healthy like this dish. While eating this I think to myself, this is so yummy why don't I do this more often.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
As I said I try to be healthier sincce I am diabetic and sometimes I substitute some og the pasta when I make lasagna with thin slices og zucchini.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I saw a picture on instagram by @chicujenta wher she made raw zucchini spagetthi with a raw sauce.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I had zucchini and lobster in the fridge and thought i would make a salad almost like a papayasalad.</div>

<b>For 4 small lunches or 2 dinners you need</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1-2 zucchini, chredded with a mandolin</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cooked lobster</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 onion finly chopped</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cloves garlig, crushed</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 tbs olive oil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
16 oz ripe and peeled tomatoes or canned</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup white wine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 ts chopped fresh parsley</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 ts chopped fresh oregano</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
salt and pepper<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lemon and parsley to garnish<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLrrHIrBiAwf09v42On8vPYwSo3Y0iQZKc0swqmHUm25cgsrnHWDrnUKMTUIPG8gmbI2L63MTojap2Vp7jKQ4tfkPbrtpKBIFuzx7wTk1uT2G9p5kKRD9-NJf5DW3Sbk3dDj0Pco6j85w/s1600/IMG_20140924_121145.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLrrHIrBiAwf09v42On8vPYwSo3Y0iQZKc0swqmHUm25cgsrnHWDrnUKMTUIPG8gmbI2L63MTojap2Vp7jKQ4tfkPbrtpKBIFuzx7wTk1uT2G9p5kKRD9-NJf5DW3Sbk3dDj0Pco6j85w/s1600/IMG_20140924_121145.jpg" /></a><br />
Sauté the onions and the garlig in olive oil on medium heat, when the onions start to sweat add the tomatoes an wine.<br />
Let it cook until the tomatoes ar so soft you can crush them with a spoon, add the herbs and salt and pepper to taste.<br />
<br />
For this salad you do not want to cook the tomatosauce for too long, you want a little tartness that goes nicely with the lobster.<br />
<br />
Put everything together on plates and enjoy:)</div>

A few days ago was the official separation date and by chance coincide with the day we met 22 years ago. Half a life has passed since then, I will turn 44 in a little while.<br />
<br />
This song "How long will I love you" performed by Ellie Goulding is very represetative of my feelings and might not be the right song to listen to right now. I have to admit that I can't hold back the tears when this song comes on.<br />
<br />
How can this happen you may wonder if I still have those feelings.<br />
I do not know. We are better friends now than the latter part of our marriage.<br />
Besides, one can not simply turn off memories and feeling of half a life together.<br />
<br />
The plan was that we would grow old and grey together, enjoy retirement, become grandparents and enjoy seeing the next generation grow up. Watch the little ones and be able to say "Do you remember when the kids were smaller, these small ones does exactly the same" or "do you remember that expression" reminisce about the good times.<br />
That does not seem to happen now, we wore each other out and made us feel old and gray much earlier and then the marriage died.</div>

Yes, this year has been different and difficult.<br />
I used to be a fulltime caretaker and spent most of my time with the children and this past year I send them off to their father on the agreed dates. It has been difficult I admit, my heart aches. "Enjoy your free time" people tell me and I try. I try to attend different happenings and meet friends, but all with half a heart.<br />
To my friends I have met, been with in the past year and also have not had time to meet, I want to say: It's not your fault it's mine, but I appreciated that you have been there for me.<br />
<br />
I could write much more about this subject matter, but thought I should spare you the dreary boredom of me whining.<br />
<br />
This could be much worse, atleast I have got my health and family around me, even though some what amputated.<br />
<br />
Have a nice evening and hugs from me</div>

Have you ever wanted to make fancy chocolate eggs for easter like the ones you buy from chocolatiers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I did, I love making chocolates, candy and different types og sweets. I have casted chocolates before and even given a course on how to do it. The reason I used Kindereggs is that I do not have any egg moulds and as I was grocery shopping and held a pack og Kindereggs in my hand I suddenly had an idea and thought why not. This activity is somting you also can do with your children, it can get a little messy and I manage to all by myself;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You need</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Chocolate </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can use different colored chocolate melts, I did`t have any so I used ordinary dark and white chocolate</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Brushes</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pipingbags and tips</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kindereggs</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Powdered food coloring</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Rainbowdust.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Melt the chocolates in a double boiler, important to remember that the chocolate should not be more than 104 F(40 C)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
There are many ways to decorate the eggs, I just brushed randomly and some I piped.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuYpfl-YpE_5aauZLN9-pZXY7t6AVJNe3Ggqgtq5DFxiNLDSx4UWaQOS9EGfz_dtShXDBvwlxWuJeo7ZYtzhqRWLvPDV042QfRMJbZ70PhPaTqB2dO0xCyySk-O2rJZ__K9DY6t4HhkWk/s1600/2014-04-13+14.27.06.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuYpfl-YpE_5aauZLN9-pZXY7t6AVJNe3Ggqgtq5DFxiNLDSx4UWaQOS9EGfz_dtShXDBvwlxWuJeo7ZYtzhqRWLvPDV042QfRMJbZ70PhPaTqB2dO0xCyySk-O2rJZ__K9DY6t4HhkWk/s1600/2014-04-13+14.27.06.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mixing the two chocolates gives a nice effect like the egg in the picture above. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHjMUJ2LlYmXRMDrfdhjpr9MhAGxBahib0stD3nJ0jdl95e4cxtSHvG1iq3E0OWNxMLGfiBMubXwt7wu-dvCwO-ZQX6ycyRPL-2Ui2-1KpjXpJOUklOkuF9JfpLsp8o7E1Ax-DqpVznz0/s1600/2014-04-13+14.28.05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHjMUJ2LlYmXRMDrfdhjpr9MhAGxBahib0stD3nJ0jdl95e4cxtSHvG1iq3E0OWNxMLGfiBMubXwt7wu-dvCwO-ZQX6ycyRPL-2Ui2-1KpjXpJOUklOkuF9JfpLsp8o7E1Ax-DqpVznz0/s1600/2014-04-13+14.28.05.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are so many options to how you can do this and it is your imagination that stops you. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As you can see I dusted som of the eggs to give them a nice shine.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9iBzAeShCV-_qrh12z-ZTaxe9obCI47u8vd2YnfISkS-_6IwWcu3rq8xB_llYRIFhqElXZXoyEaC-vmTfMx900y_SOwFl_cbkPQE1_uEr1IMuHiXriIS6E9tpvuVkzvv0g4ia4NyG7fo/s1600/2014-04-13+14.29.07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9iBzAeShCV-_qrh12z-ZTaxe9obCI47u8vd2YnfISkS-_6IwWcu3rq8xB_llYRIFhqElXZXoyEaC-vmTfMx900y_SOwFl_cbkPQE1_uEr1IMuHiXriIS6E9tpvuVkzvv0g4ia4NyG7fo/s1600/2014-04-13+14.29.07.jpg" /></a></div>

This filipino velvety smooth meringue rolled cake is named <b>Mercedes arm</b> and I guess this cake is named after a Mercedes whos skin was pale as snow.<br />
Originally this cake is made with a vanilla custard made with condensed milk and eggs, but this is to sweet for my taste.<br />
I guess could make a differen vanila custard and serve it with fresh berries so it will be sweet and tart.<br />
As you can read from the title I made it with lime curd.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This dis is best made with raw lobster, but you can use cooked lobster as well, you just have to be careful not to overcook it when you put it in the oven to bake.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am really boring when I eat lobster or serve it. I prefere it plain/au naturale with melted lemonbutter with garlic and parsely. This time I just wanted to do something else just for the sake of variation</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stuffing for 2 lobsters</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 tbs butter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,5 cup finly chopped onions</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,5 cup chopped fennel</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,5 cup white wine</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,25 cup cream</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2/3 cup chopped fresh/raw shrips</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2/3 cup fres/raw scallops</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,25 cup grated swiss cheese</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,25 cups breadcrumbs</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
parsley</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Melt the butter in a pan and saute the onions and fennel on medium heat til vegetables are tender and then add the wine.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEcRKelcO2n7aiD6tq-YoyAqSDlL6NUDustfEwLff02iGNaLLhOkK5t-pxwWbk2Te9wQIYcufmeP27sNaD-_EhqRy24kkypq6thbK7K8qv1X99qYx8jDfFO6RpoBML7GKYCvflnUDUAs4/s1600/2014-02-23+15.51.15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEcRKelcO2n7aiD6tq-YoyAqSDlL6NUDustfEwLff02iGNaLLhOkK5t-pxwWbk2Te9wQIYcufmeP27sNaD-_EhqRy24kkypq6thbK7K8qv1X99qYx8jDfFO6RpoBML7GKYCvflnUDUAs4/s1600/2014-02-23+15.51.15.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then add the cream, seafood and parley, cook it for about a minute, you do not want the seafood to get rubbery. Add salt and pepper to your liking.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjNKgkQgY8AA_EMl5CHBMemFQwlopG504nPJAOEyzC1E0cZvReVCcMBySEbDcHUPdAsH-eR6GkYkzRtfzjgeVyeGrWQTZ8FTJ9YicseCRmxEiiomw6LfAPI4rxoRqO3aeHdJOco3As50I/s1600/2014-02-23+15.50.06.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjNKgkQgY8AA_EMl5CHBMemFQwlopG504nPJAOEyzC1E0cZvReVCcMBySEbDcHUPdAsH-eR6GkYkzRtfzjgeVyeGrWQTZ8FTJ9YicseCRmxEiiomw6LfAPI4rxoRqO3aeHdJOco3As50I/s1600/2014-02-23+15.50.06.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally you add the cheese and breadcrumbs, the bread crumbs will thiken the sauce.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Udpf-0OD4DFEp2xr-SsSI7KHLhjoAd0ssM34bM67ix9r6k7uoz8BgkiM6yykPdHhnAdjrwA5RcMx0M8VtRxLm8oeRaJd5Lw0u0w2PP8UzEeeAsE-n7jVE-tF1iwhbdxUOmoMH3oLnA8/s1600/2014-02-23+15.47.55.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Udpf-0OD4DFEp2xr-SsSI7KHLhjoAd0ssM34bM67ix9r6k7uoz8BgkiM6yykPdHhnAdjrwA5RcMx0M8VtRxLm8oeRaJd5Lw0u0w2PP8UzEeeAsE-n7jVE-tF1iwhbdxUOmoMH3oLnA8/s1600/2014-02-23+15.47.55.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut the lobster almost in two, remove the sand sac an the the intestinal vein.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fill the lobsters with the stuffing and bake in the oven in 350 degree F for a few minutes untill the cheese has melted and the stuffing turnes light golden, but not to long as mentioned earlier you do not want the meat to become though.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Serve this with a nice salad, some nice bread and something lovely to drink and enjoy:)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have you ever had trouble getting your young ones to eat enough vegetables?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have and my solution is to hide them in their smoothies. I have tried many different combinations with different results, but this smoothie is the one that has been the most successful. The kiwi and the banana camuflages broccoli and spinac quite well. So even if my youngest one only want to eat carbs and proteins it does not really matter as long as she drinks this smoothie with her meal.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Smoothie enough for two glasses<br />

<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 banana</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 kiwi</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Broccoli equal the amount of 1 banana</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Spinach equalthe amount of 1 kiwi</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup almond milk</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I served this dish as a starter last time I had the girls over for dinner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There is supposed to be mango and avocado under the salmon, but you can't really see them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For 4 persons I used</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
200 g Fresh salmon, thinly sliced</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 mango</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 ripe avokado</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 springonion</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 chili</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sesame seeds</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Chives for decoration</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pozu-ish sauce</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,5 dl lime juice or lemon juice or mix the two</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
0,75 dl light soy sauce</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 tbs mirin</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 tbs rice wine vinegar</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 ts sesame oil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Peel the mango and use the peeler to shave thins slices on to 4 plates and do the same with the avocado.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Spread the salmon slices over the mango and avocado.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pour the amount of sauce you want over the fish and garnish with spring onion, chili and chives</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I served this with a special sushi wine developed by Jacob's Creek and one of Japans great Sushi chefs.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted to make a few cupcakes for my children for Valentines with a little surprise.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They turned out a pale version than I usually make, I did not have the propper food coloring I needed, but oh well, its the candymelt hearts that was of importance this time.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made the hearts with popping sugar.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Popping sugar is bits of candy where carbon dioxide is added under pressure while the mass is still liquid form and when the mass hardens it traps the gas inside the candy . It is only when the pieces come in contact with moisture like when you put them in your mouth and the sugar dissolves, the gas is released and you will experiences little explosions in your mouth . Candy is not difficult to make, but popping sugar is completely different , it's not something I try to do at home in the kitchen.</div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
15 1/2 ounces all-purpose flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 teaspoons salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
13 ounces granulated sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 cups buttermilk</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 eggs</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons red food coloring</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 teaspoons white vinegar or apple cider vinegar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/8 cup water</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I usually use a foodcoloring from Wilton but I was out of it and tried to use a natural food coloriing made from beets and as you can see it did not turn as red as it is supposed to be.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Directions</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the cupcakes:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Preheat oven 350 degrees F.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder into a bowl and set aside.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In a mixer mix oil, sugar, and buttermilk until combined. Add eggs, food coloring, vinegar, vanilla and water and mix well. Add the dry ingredients a little bit at a time and mix on low, scraping down sides occasionally, and mix until just combined. Be sure not to over mix, or the batter will come out tough.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Line a cupcake pan with paper liners, scoop the batter into the liners and bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the cream cheese frosting:</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/2 pounds cream cheese, room temperature</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 pound butter, room temperature</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 pounds powdered sugar, sifted</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 ts vanilla extract</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Whip the butter and cream cheese together in a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment until creamed. Gradually add powdered sugar to the mixture and scrape down the bowl as needed. Add the vanilla and mix until combined.</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The frosting can be used right away, or stored in the refrigerator up to a week.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Frost cooled cupcakes with the cream cheese frosting.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFpdMzy5FdVhjDQ4kzgHCSm_WbiyhKZw0yCT_s3zxt01NxuX4AYWxKRGAGQBMxPP72wSl10mTqcl841hDmGyQkYx_L7UAiV7nqjkmSaUQbg3nauOadJtQaMZNUbjJ3FF-x9CRLeCLGGgA/s1600/_SAM0091.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFpdMzy5FdVhjDQ4kzgHCSm_WbiyhKZw0yCT_s3zxt01NxuX4AYWxKRGAGQBMxPP72wSl10mTqcl841hDmGyQkYx_L7UAiV7nqjkmSaUQbg3nauOadJtQaMZNUbjJ3FF-x9CRLeCLGGgA/s1600/_SAM0091.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Necessity is the mother of invention, they say.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
In norwegian the saying goes "Nød lærer naken å spinne" meaning that need/distress theaches naked lady to spin.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Well my oven just broke down and I had made some gingerbread dough, what to do, what to do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
A little while ago I made a traditional coockie useing a krumkake iron, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
(read about krumkake <b><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krumkake">HERE</a></b> for explaination)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I thoght, why not give the old iron a try.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It worked and it only took 25 seconds +/-, I made a few cones and bowl shapes for desserts and regular cookie</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtvi2GpH2H1FquWBFB45ksT1yovl9dfnaWjDibqyBe8eeCFMIDmdg4Uh5NBGg7gRTSL0UxeiAsw6roKZJVL3zjnczZzFwbk4vWO-KkC_tVt4r2F7i3w8RsQ_97gDbl1UgdxEKzjqSo4Fs/s1600/_SAM0095.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtvi2GpH2H1FquWBFB45ksT1yovl9dfnaWjDibqyBe8eeCFMIDmdg4Uh5NBGg7gRTSL0UxeiAsw6roKZJVL3zjnczZzFwbk4vWO-KkC_tVt4r2F7i3w8RsQ_97gDbl1UgdxEKzjqSo4Fs/s1600/_SAM0095.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
They turne out quite nice and already decorated:)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
When baking these, you have to work quick, the cookie gets brittle fast and tend to crack when you shape them. I used regular gingerbread dough, but with a few adjustments of the recipe I might get a more plyable dough. When making krumkake you use a batter, it does turn nice and crisp, but the cones are very fragile and not suitable for icecream. Maybe if I make something between a dough and a batter, doutter, well I think that has to be for another time.</div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Use store bought dough or homemade, it is up to you.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 cups all-purpose flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3/4 teaspoon baking soda</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 teaspoon salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 tablespoon ground ginger</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
6 tablespoons unsalted butter</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3/4 cup dark brown sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 large egg</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup molasses</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves until well blended.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In a mixmaster beat butter, brown sugar, and egg on medium speed until well blended.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add molasses continue to mix until well blended.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Gradually stir in dry ingredients until dough is even and smooth.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Divide dough in half and wrap each half in plastic and let stand at room temperature for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dough can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, but in this case it should be refrigerated. Return to room temp before using</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtit0BfeHPL5vKu5RNCK56UE8xdqa8uVWKRfTnb36x5zlhJWYdCJ5T43dRSaznblFHA39UOtFv0Q0CjGvp5LbC4VR4iJjGnYVnz1438b0bunWy0uFn3Q6bLANnjnNLKCmcse5mOgjhWbo/s1600/IMG_5348.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtit0BfeHPL5vKu5RNCK56UE8xdqa8uVWKRfTnb36x5zlhJWYdCJ5T43dRSaznblFHA39UOtFv0Q0CjGvp5LbC4VR4iJjGnYVnz1438b0bunWy0uFn3Q6bLANnjnNLKCmcse5mOgjhWbo/s1600/IMG_5348.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Roll the dough thin, cut out your shapes and bake in the iron for give and take about 25 seconds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Depending on the size of your cookies, I baked 1-3 pieces each time.</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6MWj9hgHcZiOJ1L8n5v60Uaq0ZhVg8tOOkGehawiI8yvYiZTe66iTEgC3zZtSU3hgkStGuLRCt4N7z86xqKKNgDl4JICSjAUa2f2SnDvxHtBU9C7ARCNEgUAeDXwAeKMfd5nPlxEfKMk/s1600/_SAM0094.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6MWj9hgHcZiOJ1L8n5v60Uaq0ZhVg8tOOkGehawiI8yvYiZTe66iTEgC3zZtSU3hgkStGuLRCt4N7z86xqKKNgDl4JICSjAUa2f2SnDvxHtBU9C7ARCNEgUAeDXwAeKMfd5nPlxEfKMk/s1600/_SAM0094.jpg" /></a></div>
In the bowls I have creamy rice puding with oranges soaked in Cointreau and chopped hazelnuts</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Seves 4</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup of whipping cream</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 tbs sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1,5 cups of readymade rice pudding</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 chopped blanched almonds</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Whip cream with the sugar and fold in cold ricepudding and almonds</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Simple orange topping</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 oranges<br />
1 tbs sugar<br />
4 tbs Cointreau,<br />
Chopped hazelnuts<br />
If you want it sweeter use candied hazelnuts<br />
<br />
Peel the oranges and cut out the wedges, put them in å bowl and pour in the liquor and sugar, mix and let it sit.<br />
<br />
Fill the cookie bowl with the rice pudding top with the orange mixture and garnish with what you feel like using.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The gingerbread cones I topped with regular vanilla icecream and crushed candy canes</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

When I bought this place, the rooms in the attic had a yellowish tint and when I painted the floors light grey I they really thought they looked yellow.</div>

Milkpaint and Safepaint, the difference is that Milkpaint needs an extra bonding agent when you mix it, when you are going to paint already painted surfaces. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkRQybcfh6F9tW9EMANDjDrGs_FJpvM4XRINwC3hJRj9UVkyZIwZGBt6EVUAl4VLfj0QtlIObwzZqiMzSU3gdwIuAILTRlD0HMjPmhHY2on3bDuOi94YRqMehb6NnnflIaEe0LZToOsME/s640/2012-11-19+23.58.57.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My oven is busted and while I contemplate what kind of oven I am going to get, I have come to the conclusion that I will not be making any houses this year.<br />
Even though I won't be making any, I tought I'll show you how to make hard candy windows.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
On the top picture I made a little lantern with candy windows, it is the same method for the houses.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIO7MllnslUUqulYI0fEFIhUVC95E6dMBMHoGLPZ8UljR5pX-38rgMlk7lbw_bhJ5Espyc2oB5rsgOdUPUqkvguqZFsPji_U_1Vkdu0ciSyjpvU1XRB-1RhExL8rP_AtgZtd-XjS0yRDI/s640/2012-11-19+21.29.09.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Make the pattern you want and fill the gap with hard candy</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI44binYa4V6dNtCdvye2RfHo9eas05LV7VPgb16xbyqAV7w5VK4XM-jTs1I0gGydJWQ4dJOvR8OLHOIExRY-cEj-uqE3Rn55ae5I4RZxSZNZxD8s0zkL8FBUdnmZTlwyl8ShaLRGYCcs/s640/2012-11-19+21.40.28.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bake your cookies the same way you would bake them without candy.<br />
When done remove them from the oven at let it cool down on the baking tray.<br />
If you manage to brake any pieces, just put it back in the oven and the glas will fuse back together, the cookie it self you should reinforce with a little melted sugar.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Mount the pieces together and decorate<br />
<br />
Here are some pictures of gingerbread projekts I have made the past two years.<br />
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKcYpfopbklHGfEAUW8Zi7bMzqD4nizDEDM_AtsfGFF4VYyLoPZb0nMga0WHEzZ31b-kG1y4CBqe9KssIPerCVtSeTTEzx8nbYCjtUfO9XJiFJ4GuRI8ztuq7h498OcdeRT-Ga6VJGxtc/s640/2012-11-19+23.59.09.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></div>

The girls were bold, liberated and had short cut hair.<br />
They painted their lips with raspberry red lipstick and pouted their mouths.<br />
They wore scandalously short dresses adorned with feathers and pearls.<br />
This is the image I have of the Flapper girls in the 1920's.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Side Car is said to be a drink from that era, invented in either London or Paris at the end of the 1st World War.<br />
The young had started to go out more to meet each other, they went to variéte, to cinemas and to cafes.<br />
Tey lived a more licentious life than what they had used to before.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ingredienser:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4 cl Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cl Cointreau</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cl Fresh lemon juice</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.<br />
<br />
For those who do not like sweet drinks, this could be a hit.<br />
With six parts alcohol and 1 part lemon juice this was strong a little on the strong side and one is enough for me:)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhKkPzHtFFr1lR-3xQO1EFWm0Z3yC5ZaQWIisCnY7z1c8oVrsj863aAzV6-Y2eHDw45DujZOf-r6FewbMewDhxx1nl5L4iUSKhwOoqbgjXr0MHUjmYbbIc1HzZZFNvlVSQ13thuTdTNC4/s1600/20131207_235758.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cosy advent lights in antisipation of Christmas, last sunday we lit the second candle counting down towards the festive hollidays.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is perched on top of on Expedit shelves I bought from IKEA.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Winter has finally arrived and it is getting colder and ligting the fireplace gives a warm and cosy feeling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got some fire wood and did not have a nice way to store it, so I just sett it on top of some brown packaging paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see from the picture below it does not look very nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What I really want is a built in niche to put it in, but that means I have to get rid of the fireplace and construct a new one, to much hassle for wood storage. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I got this bright idea that I can use shelves to store the wood.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkyHOGinV4Leuphhho6p0EcSrUpp1m_9hZAWdaKdb3aVG0NJBeYiO74uEGR0ER2maeF2ygyXRZTn5aZK0MqDQodJesW3dw6FcAd4TGkwRKi9oP8azDDbBbTDiwrwGRMPz-GJoRB5vZJwo/s1600/20131128_195422.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkyHOGinV4Leuphhho6p0EcSrUpp1m_9hZAWdaKdb3aVG0NJBeYiO74uEGR0ER2maeF2ygyXRZTn5aZK0MqDQodJesW3dw6FcAd4TGkwRKi9oP8azDDbBbTDiwrwGRMPz-GJoRB5vZJwo/s1600/20131128_195422.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I went to IKEA, got single expedit shelfs for wall mounting and stacked them on top of eachother</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They do give a look that I like, almost like niches</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0stL-SyQHu6E4N7c1xqnKY7qhl6IzIWiBIEMCcRI_F0r001GLeqRjScbZPalRKSxSmnddyu21HQYLiDrYO7FMMwNWSJBYysutHl_bN2PA86Q6VoVd0r5cY0CW4G6isbLOXSOWucF7boE/s1600/20131128_223256.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0stL-SyQHu6E4N7c1xqnKY7qhl6IzIWiBIEMCcRI_F0r001GLeqRjScbZPalRKSxSmnddyu21HQYLiDrYO7FMMwNWSJBYysutHl_bN2PA86Q6VoVd0r5cY0CW4G6isbLOXSOWucF7boE/s1600/20131128_223256.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think that two may be enough, because with three, the tiles that decorates the fireplace gets hidden</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTMFjwUi2ayEuv97tnNMuSxr0IrlZOKTeqm4FPfW0oFg-Asu3Wnw1pu2ApyQZpMojrJIi5Qg2J5rAuKrD_jfAV8llFraBUpbMhhS8LT4npv4C8A2s5V_HVkhH5vpyS1ZOlbhyphenhyphenl65gTAHE/s1600/20131128_223026.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTMFjwUi2ayEuv97tnNMuSxr0IrlZOKTeqm4FPfW0oFg-Asu3Wnw1pu2ApyQZpMojrJIi5Qg2J5rAuKrD_jfAV8llFraBUpbMhhS8LT4npv4C8A2s5V_HVkhH5vpyS1ZOlbhyphenhyphenl65gTAHE/s1600/20131128_223026.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It would be nice to stack three on top of eachother, but as you can see only the top tile is showing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am not really sure yet, I might end up with three during winter and put one of them away during the warmer seasons.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The lyrics are from a song by Queen or is it Freddy Mercury. Oh, no matter, it reflects my feelings at the momet.<br />
<br />
Just as fast as we started our relationship, it ended. We have been together since the day we met and the day we desided to go our separate ways, it did not take long befor I was situated in a new place.<br />
I have been together with my husband for almost 21 years, half my life.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
I try not to think about my new situation by keeping muself bussy remodelin/decorating my new appartement.<br />
So far it has been mostly painting, I want the place to be light and bright, to keep my spirits up.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
here are some before and after pictures.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When I got the place I was very determned on painting all the floors, but as I was about to start on the livingroom floor I must admit I hesitated. A lot hardwood floor to cover up, now that it is painted I do not regret it, the result is just as I imagined it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
As ha tummy filler before meals at most restaurants you get nice warm bread or breadsticks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a lot of puffpastry the other day and had a hankering for puff pastry cheese sticks. Making them is very easy, spesially if you have ready store bought puff pastry</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You need</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Puffpastry<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Shredded cheese, cheddar, parmesan, emmenthal or your favorite</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
butter</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 egg</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
salt/savory topping</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
sesame seeds/poppy seeds</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Puffpastry ingredients</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
500 gr flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
200 gr butter</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
300 g margarine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2,5 dl cold water</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you want a nice flaky pastry, I recomed that you use margarine in between the layers and butter for the dough.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333015441895px; line-height: 24px; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mix flour, Butter and salt together in a large bowl or in the bowl of a stand mixer that is fitted with a dough hook. When the miks is grainy like sand, gradually stir in water until the dough holds together enough to clean the sides of the bowl. Shape into a flat ball, and allow to rest for at least 10 minutes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Place the margarine between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound into a flat disc using a rolling pin or other heavy object. Refrigerate until firm, about 20 minutes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a large rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Place the disc of chilled margarine in the center and fold the two ends over it so that it is completely encased in dough. Roll out the dough again, taking care not to let the butter break through the dough, to about 1/2 inch thickness. Fold into thirds. This is the first ''turn''. Rotate the dough 90 degrees and roll out into a rectangle again. Fold into thirds. By this time the butter is starting to warm up. Place the dough on a baking sheet and mark it with two pokes from your finger (two turns). Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Repeat this rolling, folding and turning two more times, then refrigerate until firm. Repeat two more times for a total of 6 ''turns''. Wrap and refrigerate. The dough is now ready to roll out and use in any recipe calling for puff pastry. Roll the dough out as thin as 1/4 inch to make pastries. Bake in a preheated oven of at least 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) to get the maximum puff from your pastry.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now you have puff pastry to make chese sticks and other yummy mouth watering treats sweet or savory.<br />
<br />
For your cheese sticks<br />
Roll out some pastry.</div>

When we came home from our trip to The UAE I had to try to make Luqaimat, fried duplings with syrup and chopped pistachios</div>
</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
These pictures from The Hilton in Fujairah, depicts a local lady in niqab making the duplings.<br />
<br />

It looked so easy, but as you can see from my little duplings it was not. She got nice even shapes to hers.</div>

For Syrup:</div>
<div>
Boil water and sugar together on low heat without stirring (so that it'll stay clear) until it reaches the point where it cools on the spoon, and forms a thick, sticky consistency.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
or use ready made syrup like I did:)</div>
