To swallow a cloud, Wonton soup

Apparently Wonton means to swallow a cloud, the little dumplings look like little clouds floating around in the soup

I -2  packets of wonton wrappers
400 minced pork
250 g kminced prawns
100 g ffinly chopped water chesnuts
1 tbs soysace
1 tbs oystersauce
1 tbs sherry
1/2 ts sugar
a few drops of sesame oil
1 sping onion chopped
1 ts grated fresh ginger
mix everything well and put a teaspoon full on each wrapper

This portion gave me about 70 wontons

Heat up 2 to 2,5 liters of chicken broth and when it is boiling put the dumplings in and let it simmer
for 10-15 minutes.
garnish with prefered vegetables. In the picture above I have enoki mushrooms, cilantro, chilli and chopped spring onions in my soup.

These dumplings are nice to fry also and serve with sweet chilli sauce

Tea Christmas Calendar

What do you give a lady that has everything she needs, my mum and mother in law both have birth days in late november, so we give them home made tea calendars with sweet little words for each day.
Advent calendars is a tradition in Norway mostly among the children, for each day before christmas they get a little gift or sweet that they get to open or eat. But why can't the rest of us celebrate the anticipation of christmas, just because we have reached a certain age?
Last year I made my first tea calendar and printed out the pattern you see below
It is nicest if you print it out on paper with pattern
Then I cut out the pieces
taped on tea bags on the little tabs with double sided tape
Scored the tabs

I use double sided tape to glue together the bags
fold

then put the tea bags in boxes or plastic bags before you give it away

Fall lanterns

I got this Idea for these lanters from Fabelaktig, easy to make and quite decorative

To make these lanters you need old jars, tea candle holders or plain old glass lanterns
I used mapel leafs from my garden, hemp twine and som old glass lanterns I found in the garage.

Sunday brunch

We try to have a nice family brunch on Sundays, bucause normally no one gets up early enough for breakfast.
Today Nelje, my mother who is visiting and I made english muffins, buttermilk biscuites, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hot cocoa and cafe lattes. My mum is an early bird so we had about three hours before the others got up and joined us for brunch.
