Photos on the road

On the way home today I had to try a few tips Magiske foto  has on her blogg
I took the pictures trough the wind shield while the car was in motion, the result is maybe not what she meant.
But I like the pictures

I specially like this picture with the contrasting colors of the shiny red car and the bright green trafic light

My bedroom

Just wanted to show off my bedroom, and that I have managed to make a collage with the pictures. I have always wondered how people did this and now I know. I tried piccasa, but it didn't allow me to upload the pictures, so I could only use single pictures on my blog.

Lime curd

I have probably mentioned it before, we do love lime, spesially hubby.
So I thought to try to make lemon curd with lime instead.
For Norwegian press her
You need
1 tbs grated lime peel
5 stbs lime juice
50 g rams butter
1,5 -2 dl sugar or use what I used sukrinmelis, unfortunatly I do not know what it is called in english
I heated this in a small pot until the butter was all melted, then added
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
Stirred this in on medium heat

The curd is finnished when it thikens, remove from heat and let it cool.
Put it in clean a clean jar it wil keep for a few weeks in the frige.

Bath bombs

Home made bath bombs wraped and labled

My children made these a few years back, they are easy to make,
I wore the gloves for hygene sake.
I used

2 cups of baking soda(Arm & Hammer)
1 cup of citric acid
1 tsp lavender scented masage oil
2 tps water  (if you want color, you can replace some of the water eith food coloring,)
I also added a handfull of lavender buds( home grown and dryed)
Mix everything until it becomes grainy, if it doesn't add a tiny bit of water until it does. be carefull or you get a bubbely messy mass of nothing
I line som kling film in a mold and fill it with the filling, You want to hard pack the filling into the mold.
Wrap the klingfilm around let it dry an harden a few hours. Befor you gift wrap  or use them

Raided mother in laws garden

I picked larch branches from one of my mother in laws trees and brought it home and decorated my hall with it

Baking cups/Cup cake liners

I went to Oslo the other day and bought Wilton baking cups and they where quite expensive about
12 US $ for 15 pc. When I got home I saw that they where the same size as most of the origamipaper I have and thought I can make this.

Wilton baking cup
and it fit exactly in between two plastic cups that I have
Here I use a pice og grease proof paper
fold it around the cup

Put another cup on top to press into shape
here are some that I made
